Although a majority of studies have considered physiological noise in fNIRS as a detrimental phenomenon, it remains relatively unanswered whether those components can be used in a beneficial way, i.e., to be extracted as complementary information and used alongside brain activity analysis.
This topic will be tackled in our first webinar this year, which will be held by Mohammad Shahbakhti, a Biomedical Engineering Researcher at Artinis. In his presentation on “Physiological Noise in fNIRS - Opportunity or Obstacle?”, Mohammad will discuss what physiological noise in fNIRS are and what potential it may offer in fNIRS analysis.
