Webinar
fNIRS- BCI: Methodology and (clinical) application possibilities
By Dr. Bettina Sorger & Dr. Simona Klinkhammer
Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) create direct communication between brain activity and external devices, such as computers, enabling control these external devices using brain activity in real-time. In recent years fNIRS-based BCI is increasingly used in various application areas, also in clinical settings, for instance in (neuro)rehabilitation or treatment of disorders. In this webinar, Dr. Bettina Sorger and Dr. Simona Klinkhammer from Maastricht University dive into the methodology of fNIRS-BCI and present their results of using the MediBrite in clinical and real-world BCI applications.
All (f)NIRS enthusiasts are welcome to join!
date & time
This webinar will be held on 30th April 2024 at 3:00 PM CEST.
speaker information
Dr. Bettina Sorger and Dr. Simona Klinkhammer are currently working as Associate Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher, respectively, at the Department of Cognitive Neuroscience at Maastricht University. Their research focusses on the development of methods for brain-computer interface and neurofeedback based on brain activity measured with non-invasive neuroimaging tools such as fNIRS and fMRI.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The webinar is free of charge.
The webinar will be held online on Teams. Once registered here, a link and invitation will be provided.
At the end of the presentation, there will be the opportunity to ask questions or add comments for further discussions.
