Software Application Developer

Location: Oldenzaal, Overijssel, Nederland

Artinis is looking for a Software Application Developer who is enthusiastic and driven by the development of biomedical devices and software. You will be part of the Research and Development team and a member of the software development group. As a Software Application Engineer at Artinis Medical Systems, you will be a specialist in applying our measurement systems. To enable our customers to get the most out of our equipment, we offer user software made to make measuring easy. For this, you need to know how our systems work and how our customers prefer to work with them and translate this into user-friendly software solutions.

You are therefore the person of choice to extensively test our systems and software before market launch to ensure that they meet all requirements. You write and execute the test plans and software. In this way, you contribute to the high quality of Artinis’ products. Your product expertise supports our sales and support team for technical information. Together with the hardware and biomedical applications team, you work on the development of our new software and ensure the quality of the products from the user's perspective.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain application and test software for our EEG and EMG measurement systems.

  • Writing and execution of software test plans.

  • Testing of new products and applications developed together with the R&D team.

  • Participation in software application development projects.

  • Supporting the sales & support team with complex issues.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical training.

  • 0-3 years of work experience.

  • Affinity with human electrophysiology and research.

  • Experience with Python and/or MATLAB.

  • Experience with GitLab is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities. 

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch speaking is a plus. 

  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and able to function well in a dynamic, agile environment. 

  • Positive attitude, can-do mentality, sense of pragmatism, and flexibility. 

  • Ability to think problem-solution-oriented.
