Senior Software Fullstack Developer

Location: Elst, Gelderland, the Netherlands

We focus on deepening insights into cognitive and clinical neuroscience, medical research, brain-computer interfaces, and sports applications.

We are seeking a talented and experienced senior full-stack developer to join our software development team in our Research and Development group. As a key leader within the team, you will work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, electrical engineers, embedded engineers, and biomedical engineers to deliver seamless and efficient software solutions for medical and neuroscientific applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex research and medical software using C# and potentially C++.

  • Collaborate with team members to produce elegant code and robust functionality.

  • Translate feature requests and issue tickets into production-ready code.

  • Engage in defining system architecture and design decisions, ensuring optimal solutions.

  • Manage projects from inception to delivery, overseeing timelines and ensuring project success.

  • Contribute to the company's technical strategy and roadmap.

  • Identify and implement performance optimizations across applications.

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality software development standards are met.

  • Mentor junior developers in technical growth and best practices.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, coding standards, and best practices for the team.

  • Bridge the gap between design, technology, and user experience.

  • Work independently within multidisciplinary project teams to translate user expectations into optimized code.

  • Design on requests from electronics engineers and end-users.

  • Expand your knowledge of embedded, research, and medical technologies.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Software Engineer or similar role with full-stack development experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in C#.

    • Experience with C++ is a plus but not required.

    • Familiarity with working within medical documentation guidelines (e.g., ISO 13485) is preferred.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Problem-solving orientation and strong analytical skills.

    • Leadership and mentorship capabilities to guide junior developers.

    • Ability to work effectively in a small, multi-disciplinary team.

    • Excellent communication in English (both written and spoken).

  • Work Environment:

    • Willingness to work in a dynamic and agile environment.

    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

    • Positive attitude with a can-do mentality, pragmatism, and flexibility.
